About the role
As a Business Development Manager at Lenus Health, you will be responsible for direct sales to Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and NHS Trusts, identifying and developing new business opportunities and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders across the healthcare landscape. This role requires a detailed understanding of the structure of the NHS, commissioning and procurement processes, and the challenges faced by healthcare providers.
- Lead the sales efforts in the UK working with our marketing and product teams to engage with clients to develop proposals and propositions, write funding bids, and respond to tenders
- Identify and target new business opportunities, ensuring the development of a robust pipeline of potential clients
- Target new customer prospects through market research and analysis
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence
- Contribute to the development of the company's strategic goals by providing insights into market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities
- Lead the preparation, within cross-functional teams, to write and submit high-quality bids and tenders, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines
- Regularly report on sales activities, pipeline status, maintain CRM records and provide market feedback to senior management
- Attend events and network with key opinion leaders and potential customers
- Participate in conferences and client meetings to represent the company professionally and articulate our products and services in a clear manner. This includes preparing and delivering presentations and engaging in productive discussions with clients.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in business development and sales within the digital health product sector or directly working for a healthcare organisation
- Active understanding of the NHS structure, commissioning and procurement processes, and current healthcare landscape in the UK
- Proven track record of performing successfully to sales targets with experience in selling digital health products within the UK
- Demonstrated experience in writing and managing bids and tenders, with a strong understanding of procurement requirements and best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build rapport with senior stakeholders
- Able to think strategically and translate market opportunities into actionable business plans
- Actionable analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering client-centric solutions
- Experience working with software-based products with the capacity to understand and explore our products fully
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend events
- Familiarity with CRM tools / account management software.
